Vee: There's an ebb and flow to the internet. Like a picturesque tide of nip-slips and trannies, it leaves only a stagnant pool of shame in its wake.
Since starting to dick around social media sites, I've noticed this strange phenomenon. Some nights, it's dead. You're sitting there, putting up quality material like a drugeon, and nary a soul replies. But then, on some random Wednesday, people go apeshit crazy, posting memes and flamewars and all manner of captivating content.
That is inevitably the day you are nowhere near a computer.
Jaime: Now, obviously the internet is here to stay and I love it - it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, the printing press and intimate lubricant. But it seems like a great deal of the fervor in many of my favourite forums and sites has been dying down for a while now, and that unless they're photos of babies, baby showers and baby bumps, I don't see many people my age actively contributing to the global conversation.
